Why uPVC Doors make your home more secure

Firstly, you may be wondering what the difference is between uPVC Doors and Composite Doors...

uPVC Doors are crafted using uPVC, whereas composite doors are made from many different materials. Typically, uPVC Doors are a cost-effective solution, and the design options make them a stylish alternative! Here at Independent Network, we offer both. The choice is entirely up to you. Your installer will guide you on which is the right choice based on your design preferences and budget.

You can also choose from different textures, including woodgrain, smooth or matte (SPECTRAL).

Let's get technical...

Tested above and beyond British standards

Here at Independent Network, our windows and doors are designed by VEKA, the UK’s leading uPVC company. Our uPVC Doors are made using German technology with British design and craftsmanship and our workshop in Lancashire test our uPVC doors to rigorous standards that are higher than those required to meet British Standards. So, when you hear us talk about quality, you know we mean we’re nothing less than 100% happy with it. And if we’re 100% happy with it, we’re confident you will be too.

British Kitemark

All our windows and doors carry a BSI Kitemark. And the extrusion plant at VEKA where our uPVC doors are created have held the Kitemark certification for 25 years. The Kitemark is an invaluable mark of quality for all sorts of products, but particularly for doors and it’s a great indication of a company that pro-actively prioritises quality and safety.

PAS 24 and Secured by Design

As part of our commitment to offering the highest level of security, our uPVC Doors meet the stringent testing requirements of PAS 24, the Police Preferred Specification that is Secured by Design.

Safe and secure

Our doors can be crafted using many different hardware providers including Winkhaus and Mila to name a couple. One of the locking mechanisms available is the Winkhaus blueMatic AV3-E automatic (sounds technical right?) this is a motorised automatic locking system allowing hooks and sealing elements to automatically grasp the door rail when you close it. But if you’re on more of a budget, you can rest assured that the multi-point locking mechanisms on all our doors have anti-lift pins, barrel locks, hinge protectors and are anti-drill. Keeping you safe and secure.
